Satin bed sheets & Luxury linens

 Sateen bed sheets are mainly made from 100% cotton and have a luxurious, smooth and soft feel to them.
Satin bed sheets are similar to Sateen Sheets in softness, but instead of the being made from 100% Cotton, satin is made from satin polyesters.

Cotton bed sheets, can be made from different types of cotton; Egyptian, Pima or Supima. Combed cotton is a standard grade of Cotton that has all the short fibers removed resulting in a stronger and softer cotton. Cotton can also be mixed with polyester making them stronger and easier to care for..

The newer pillow top mattresses require you to have deep pocket sheets, and some need extra deep pocketsheets with 18" pockets so keep that in mind when you order new bed sheets.

Cotton bed sheets & linen fabric quality

Bed sheets come in different fabrics and grades. One way to determine the grade or quality of the sheet is to find how many threads per square inch there are. The higher the thread count the smoother and stronger the sheet. Of course using a little common sense, you realize that flannel sheets have courser threads so they are different and will not achieve the higher thread counts of cotton sheets

Bed sheet thread counts start about 175 and go to over 1000, and as the tread count goes, so goes the price.  My sheets are 275 and I sleep good, but maybe I'll pamper myself next time and go for a 500 thread count.
